Bad days

I went to a really damn boring haloween party last night...its just s*cks...no fun...empty dancing floor and the drinks were really expensive. So i went home early and as i was about to take my shower in the middle of the night, suddenly the fire alarm of my flat goes off causing everyone to evacuate themselves from the the building..Why fire alarming?? cause one idiot put his sandwiches in the oven for 20minutes, the whole thing got burnt causing lots of smoke and just because of that, everyone had to get out of their flats. Come on...it's 12 in the midnight and its freaking cold out there. People were shivering and had waited for about 30minutes until two fire engines arrived to confirm that it is safe to get back into the building. Then just now (today), the f*cking fire alarm goes off again but this time, there was a strong smell of something got burnt. Eventually people did get their ass off the building...This time, not much people seems to care about the fire. By the time the fire engine arrived, most of the people already went back to their room. huh...Today is much more chilly than previous days. This is actually the third time of the fire alarm thing...The first was at 5.30am when everyone was still sleeping. This is just totally uncool..!!

my SHIPS..

Well, there are few more weeks to go before I need to submit my SHIPS report. What is SHIPS?? SHIPS is Sheffield Industrial Project Scheme. It is more about a project that giving students the taste of the real industrial environment. I had just visited ARUP on Monday...an international consulting firm and in a group of three, we were assigned to find a solution for a real industrial problem. It is really challenging. Solving this problem will be benificial to construction companies and consumers themselves. Never imagine that things (i mean electric appliances) around us having so much of problem in the electrical context. If you are a consumer, of course you wouldn't notice what they are lar...So many students are doing their postgrad here in the electric & electronic field (research! research! research!) and sigh...i only begin with my degree...still a long way to go.. Let's forget about that now...here are some view during the visit on Monday...

I was actually visiting a construction site and on the way to the site by foot, I just took a few snapshots.

Questions..

It is 0025 now and I should be asleep but somehow, a lot of questions just flashed through my mind; memories of the past, the things happening now and what's gonna happened in the future. The room temperature is quite low. I am thinking of my family. I guess it is a good time to learn how to be fully independent - turning from a teenage boy to a man (Okay, I know I still look like a boy physically). Wonder if every overseas student feel the same way? Facing the notebook makes me think of the assignments which I have not completed. Looking at my family photos leads me to think of my future. Human's life are filled with questions everyday waiting for you to answer them. If you already have the answers for the questions of past and now, what about the questions of future?

Lectures begin

At last, it begins...The life of an oversea undergraduate...First of all, I must admit the lecturers here are very dedicated (Well they should be cause ofthe amount of tuition fees I am paying for a year)...For the time being, i don't feel much pressure but i think i will later. This is the building where i attend my lecturesThinking back the time when I attending the lectures in UTM, its seems like it was yesterday. All the funny funny and stupid things i did. Well, till now I don't understand why some of them don't even send me an e-mail or msg. Argh...wonder what's wrong with them...and what the hell are they doing? Never mind anyway. Perhaps this is what they call it "zhung sic heng yao"!! Lol.

Sometimes, I doubt of my decision to study in England. Few of my friends of same age even graduated and already earning some good money and yet i just started my uni life. Phew...I have only been here for a month ++ and still have a long way to go. Everything is going on well and i hope it'll continue to go well. I wonder how are my parents now?

Sheffield City

Initial impression of Sheffield, it is a great city. Things are cheap relatively and people around are friendly. I'm glad that all my flat mates are friendly. This whole week is a fresher week. There are a lot of activities organised by the student union for freshers like me. It's good fun. Pub crawl, day trips, shopping, you name it, they have it. People here do really know how to enjoy their life. Well, it's all about money. As long as one has money, enjoyment is everywhere. Also, One really good thing is Sheffield United is in the Premier League which means, you can "watch other great teams" in the nearby Sheffield United stadium.

Anyway, it's been two weeks since the first i came here. And No, I do not take potatoes as my main meal neither is the local - Have to clarify this otherwise people kept on asking what kind of food am I taking here. Every of my meal is similar to those in Malaysia but obviously the taste will not be as nice. No choice but I have to cook for myself. All lectures are going to start next week and that my timetable is quite pack actually. Having a great time now especially it is only the beginning of the semester. Hooray!

Leaving...

hmm...still few more days to go before I leave Malaysia. Now that I think of what have I done so far for the past two months, nothing basically. Other than helping my mom in the canteen, I just either went shopping alone or read some comics. Feeling the guilt of wasting time.

Busy busy....

You know....leaving for the first time is frustrating. I have to do all the planning. It's tiring. Lot of things you need to know.. Lot of things you need to read through...Lot of things you need to find it out yourself. Huh...now I have to rush to do all the preparation without help from anyone. Although all things will settle down in the end but I wish there were really somebody to give me a hand. At least I would not be out of breath.

Getting Started

Huh~! finally i get to start to write something stupid here after reading Mr. qian's blog. Its quite strange for me you know..may be it's the first time somehow..hmm...life was miserable back then (sometime ago)...arghh....i don't know how to put it in words here. All i can say is thanks to few of my friends who knew bout what happened to me during that time...they provide support + advice. it was really scary back then...time past damn slow...really hard to get through. Never imagine things like that would coz so much pain...every little hole that being made into the heart is like you'll never imagine. :p Luckily that was the past, the sky is clear now and it really opened up my eyes on how can human really behaves themselves...well...thats all for now..
