What is it like in the UK now 14/06?

I have been very lazy. Well, not exactly lazy but rather busy with "things-to-do" in my life. It's been erm...6 months since the last i updated my blog. Probably no one is going to read my blog after such a long been outdated. Anyhow, friends were quite curious of what the hell have I been doing or where the hell have you been? It has been, seriously a very long time I have not had a proper chat over msn/skype with most of my mates in Malaysia. Feel a little guilty but at the same time wonder why no one actually calls and say hi.

If you ask me how are you now?
My answer: I am okay. Just thank god for what I am having now. Thank god for that I still have a job. Thank god for that I am still able to survive in the current climate.

If you ask me what am I doing now or what's my job is about?
My answer: I do electrical design, PLC programming, HMI design and as I do them I learn how to manage a project. The hardest bit, controlling cashflow for the project! Challenging? Certainly! The only thing is, I began to lost my direction. Don't really know what should I do. SHould I just stick my ass on the soil of England or should I just fly back somewhere...perhaps Malaysia, Australia, Singapore?

If you ask me how is UK now?
My answer: It is very bad. Conversion rate is low (GBP to MYR). Unemployment rate is high. There were announcements of redundancy every month. Lot's of people out of job. So it is a very tough situation especially for foreigners like me. Recent general election shows that Labour is in a 50-50 situation which makes me a bit worry of what will the government do next.

Hey, I heard you've got a girl friend. Is it true?
My answer: Yes. It certainly is true. Err...this is actually the first question that most of my friends tend to ask when they see me. Her name is Michelle. We had travelled together to Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam 3 weeks ago. Need more info, please msn me.

One by one, most of my friends had gone back to Malaysia for good. It makes me really wonder should I continue to stay in England. And recently one of my best friends is in a very challenging situation. Being made redundant of his first ever job, being rejected after god knows how many applications he had made and the worst thing of all, something happened in his family. Let's hope and pray for better days to him. I don't really know how to comfort him but he should know that friends around him will definitely be there if he ever needs an extra pair of hand.
