Ending of September

Time passed by too fast and without realizing it, September 2009 is coming to an end. Lot of things happened in this particular month and most of it are not joyful. First of all, the happy things first; had a great trip to Germany in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Dusseldorf and Aachen to be exact.Since Aachen is the at the border between Belgium and The Netherlands, I did make a day trip to Liege, Belgium and Maastricht, The Netherlands. It was a great time to escape temporarily from all the increasing work pressure. Besides, I never visited Siee Hoong in Germany so it was a good time to catch up with stories of many of my friends.

I left work at 5 on Friday and took a train down to London and then a bus to Gatwick airport. Spent 8 hours sleeping alone at the airport as the flight was about 6:45 in the morning. A little surprised with the small passenger airplane that I took.

After arriving in Dusseldorf airport only to realize that Siee Hoong was in the wrong airport to meet up with me...Lol...Well not entirely his fault, may be I wasn't clear enough or did not remind him of the actual airport I was going to arrive at. Anyway, got to the heart of the city and Siee Hoong's friends were kind enough to bring me to his place while waiting for him to return from the airport.

Took a couple of photos around while hunting for German sausages. I used to watch travel channel alot and the best part to me was always the foods! So I have to follow what has been recommended and yes, indeed I got lots of sausages.

Fried small sausages with wheat beer for breakfast.

Boiled white sausages, recomended by Siee Hoong.

Other random stuffs

Chocolate flavour beer - A decision which I regreted

After the happy trip, the surroundings of me seemed to have turned into a nightmare. Well, I assume most of the people around me knows what happened. I do not want to mention it again. Anyhow, I am letting go of that and concentrating on my career. Since two of my seniors left, my workload was increased drastically. "It is a very good chance for me to pick up lots of technical skills" - That is what kept on appearing in my mind and so I spent average of 10 hours each working day studying while working on technical stuffs for all the project that was handed to me. This is kind of a good way for me to stop thinking a lot of "things".

Some said I was taking busy with work as an excuse to avoid with the problem. To be honest, I am confused. I do not what I should be doing except for working and drinking...The next thing I know, it was already mid October which I was still rushing to finish up the piles of work that were left for me.
